　　开采历史已有千年


　　鸡血石被称为“石后”，一因稀少，二因用处特殊。


　　稀少，是因为世界只有中国有，我国最早发现的鸡血石是浙江昌化玉岩山鸡血石。后来又发现了内蒙古赤峰市巴林右旗的巴林鸡血石。20世纪90年代又在陕 西、甘肃、四川、湖南、云南等地发现了鸡血石。由于现在的昌化朱砂(汞矿)已近尾声，所以出产的鸡血石产量相当有限，所以昌化鸡血石因开采历史长，存世量 少而最为珍贵。


　　出产于浙江省临安市浙西大峡谷源头玉岩山的昌化鸡血石，形成于7500万年前的火山活动，发现和开采已有1000多年历史。清乾隆年间所修的《浙江通 志》记载："昌化县产图章石，红点若朱砂，亦有青紫如玳瑁，良可爱玩，近则罕得矣"，由此一方面可见当时昌化鸡血石在民间的流行与影响;另一方面也从中得 知那时候就开采得差不多了。

　　曾经有媒体报道，鸡血石3年涨10倍，一位做鸡血石买卖多年的老板告诉记者，这种说法有炒作之嫌，鸡血石的市场价格没有出现短时间暴涨的情形，而是比 较平缓的增长。近几年，尤以鸡血石和田黄石市场走势越来越高。一方面，鸡血石的总体产量和精品数量大不如昔，而另一方面，收藏队伍的逐渐扩大，导致其价格 逐年攀升。正是由于其资源的极缺性，有眼力和能力的收藏投资者收藏鸡血石定会有不错的回报。


　　鲜血淋漓价最高

另外鸡血石的地也是判断鸡血石的重要依据。地就是红色染在什么样的石头上。鸡血石的地以纯净、半透明，无钉与血之鲜红色彩交相辉映者为上品。鸡血石的品样可分为方形、长方形、椭圆形、圆形、畸形，尺寸大致以5——2厘米的径边为宜。


　　鸡血石的质地细腻，带韧性，结构紧密，受刀不崩，是做印章的上佳材料。专家表示，好的鸡血石都不加雕琢。红色“鸡血”以外，底色尚有黑、白、黄、绿、 蓝、灰褐、紫、青等基本颜色，再加上浓淡深浅不一的各种色彩相互融合，天然浑成，不须人工雕凿，已构成一幅幅自然美丽的图案。“可以这么说，凡是加雕刻的 鸡血一般都为遮掩其疵，是不足为贵的。”

　　选购鸡血石毛料风险大

　　作伪方法有4招

　　物一稀，作伪者就多了起来，有几种作伪的方法比较常见。

　　镶嵌法，采一质地较好的昌化石章，选择几面醒目的地方，分别挖出一个个深浅不一的小坑，然后用红色的流化汞涂料嵌入，待其自然阴干后，再磨光上蜡。不过，这种嵌入的鸡血(硫化汞)没有层次，同时血与昌化石的交接处色泽生硬，没有过渡。

　　浸渍法，取一方昌化石，在需要的地方涂上硫化汞，阴干再涂，再阴干，使其血稍有层次，然后放在透明的树脂里浸渍，务使周身浸到，拾起晾干，再用细水沙打光即成。用这种方法因树脂易老化，日久表皮会泛黄，与内部的石色不相协调;同时树脂表皮的毛孔比较粗。
